As you may have already heard, this past week we learned the local university is having Parents Weekend the same weekend of our convention. (Apparently the university and local hotels were not informed.) This caused a problem with our room reservations. Our block of rooms is already full. We advise you to call other hotels and make a reservation. Almost all of the local hotels have the same problem. Our hotel may be able to have a few extra rooms but we won’t know until after August 17.
We are asking local members if they would be willing to open their homes to out of town guests. (We could play ‘the day the world came to town’.)

46 people have already booked their rooms at the Holiday Inn. Due to anonymity, we cannot share their names. If you have a room reservation, please consider sharing your room with someone else. Reach out to someone you know is coming and offer them a place to stay. Mary S., Judy C., and Meg U. can help coordinate your searches.
Some may not know that the Binghamton area has some wonderful bed and breakfasts. They are scattered all over the Southern Tier and Northeast Pennsylvania. Thanks to Judy C., Sherwood Hotel in Greene has put a hold on twenty rooms for us. Although it is roughly 25-30 minutes from Binghamton, the Sherwood Hotel will give us a discount for the rooms when you mention NYN AFG when you book your room. The contact information is as follows:
